Good News Breakfast Celebration Comes To JeffCo Fairgrounds
This year's theme is "Unsung Heroes: Super Heroes Don't Always Wear Capes"
From the Jefferson County Good News Coalition: The Jefferson County Good News Coalition will hold the 29th Annual Good News Breakfast on Tuesday, April 30, 2018, at 6:59 a.m., at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 West 6th Avenue, in Golden.
This year’s theme is “Unsung Heroes: Super Heroes Don’t Always Wear Capes” and the keynote speaker is Drew Robertson, president of Mattersville, and the driving force behind the Veterans Community Project: Tiny Houses for Homeless Veterans.
“The Good News Breakfast Selection Committee worked harder than ever this year with more than 40 nominations,” stated John Ford, chair of the Good News Coalition. “We’re thrilled with the number of groups and individuals submitted for recognition of their work in the community as ‘unsung heroes’. It’s their commitment, courage, and dedication to impacting the lives of Jefferson County residents that will be honored at our breakfast this year.”

From the 42 nominations received, 10 honorees were chosen by the Selection Committee for recognition at the Good News Breakfast due to the positive impact of their work in the community.
Breakfast will be prepared by the Warren Tech Culinary Arts program and served buffet-style. Neil Browne will serve as the Master of Ceremonies and the Invocation will be given by Eric Smith, Co-Pastor of Arvada United Methodist Church. The Arvada Police Department Honor Guard will present the colors and Lakewood Police Chief Dan McCasky will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The Alameda International Junior/Senior High School Madrigals will perform and Rabbi Tzvi Steinberg will deliver the benediction.

Tickets to the breakfast are $15 each or two for $20 (bring a friend) and may be purchased online www.goodnewsjeffco.orgor at the door.
