JeffCo Sheriff's Office Re-Accredited By Health Organization

Natl. Commission on Correctional Health Care award measures "highest standards in health care"

From Jefferson County Sheriff: We are proud to announce that the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded re-accreditation by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. This is an extremely arduous process requiring significant team effort from Sheriff’s Office staff and our partners at Correct Care Solutions.

This accreditation speaks to providing the quality medical and mental health care for those that are under our supervision. The Sheriff’s Office received a 100% compliance rating which signals a constitutionally acceptable level of care for a facility’s inmates, which translates into improved health status and reduced health risk to the community when inmates are released.

In regards to the accreditation, Sheriff Jeff Shrader said, “The preparation and site survey itself can be a challenging process but the feedback from knowledgeable professionals is very valuable. I am extremely proud of our staff and their daily efforts in assuring our Detentions Center health care standards are at the highest level.”
