JeffCo Slash Program: What's Accepted, Summer Schedule

Jefferson County is encouraging residents to mitigate wildfire danger on their properties.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Jefferson County officials are encouraging residents to clear their property and bring tree debris to the county's slash collection site. The Jeffco Slash Program will be held every weekend until the end of October.

"Removing slash and creating a defensible space around your home is the first line of defense against wildfires," the county said in a social media post. "This is not only important for your property, but it means being a good neighbor by reducing potential hazards for the entire area."

Slash collection this week will be held on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 at Golden Gate Canyon Grange, 25201 Golden Gate Canyon Road in Golden.
