Vehicle Rollover Crash, F Rd & 33 Rd (junctionnow.com) β A two-vehicle rollover crash at F Road and 33 Road in Grand Junction blocked the intersection Sunday afternoon and sent at least one driver to St. Mary's Hospital. Scanner traffic reported one person partially ejected and another initially trapped before bystanders may have helped lift the vehicle, with emergency crews diverting traffic around the scene.

NEWS POST: Male Arrested for Soliciting Sex from a Minor (crimewatch.net) β Mesa County deputies arrested 69-year-old Stanley Pavlacky of Grand Junction after a reported incident in Clifton where a man allegedly offered payment for sexual acts from someone who identified as a minor. The suspect was located at his residence, taken into custody, and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on a felony charge of soliciting for child prostitution.

Offensive Outburst Leads CMU Football to first win on the road (kkco11news.com) β Colorado Mesa University's Mavericks, Grand Junction's hometown college team, earned their first win of the season with a 42β23 road victory over Eastern New Mexico. Both CMU quarterbacks contributed big plays during a 35-point scoring surge, while linebacker Noah Williams led a dominant defensive effort that kept the Greyhounds in single digits until late in the third quarter.

Grand Junction Mezzo Soprano Ashley Troester Returns to Carmen in Tokyo and Vienna After Injuries, Turning a High School Movie Screening Into a Professional Breakthrough (chicagomusicguide.com) β A Grand Junctionβraised mezzo soprano, Ashley Troester, has turned early training at The Theatre Project, Grand Junction High School, and Colorado Mesa University into an international opera career. Now based in Denver, she's performing roles in Tokyo, Vienna, and soon with Indianapolis Opera, while crediting her Grand Junction roots for the resilience that carried her through injuries and a serious car crash.
