Program details: This presentation explores how microscopic starch residues preserved on ancient stone tools and charred plant remains have given us a new perspective on the everyday activities of the Great Basin peoples. Learn how the tools, charred nutshells, and corn cobs tell a tale that has provided new insights into agricultural practices, seasonal harvesting, food preparation techniques, settlement patterns, and adaptation to changing environments.
