1 In Custody After Lakewood Standoff
A man fired "multiple shots" near Kentucky Avenue and South Sheridan Boulevard, Lakewood police said.
LAKEWOOD, CO — A man was taken into custody after a standoff with police in Lakewood Thursday night, officials said.
The man fired "multiple shots" in the 900 block of South Sheridan Boulevard, according to the Lakewood Police Department.
People were asked to avoid the area while police attempted to reach the man, officials said.

The standoff was first reported by the department around 4:45 p.m., and the man was taken into custody around 10:30 p.m., police said.
