2 Arrested In Connection With Lakewood Shooting Deaths

Two teenagers are accused of shooting two brothers to death in Lakewood, police said.

LAKEWOOD, CO — Two teenagers face first-degree murder charges after the shooting deaths of two brothers in Lakewood. A 17-year-old boy from Denver and a 16-year-old boy from Commerce City were arrested in connection with the shooting, police said.

Officers were called to the Walmart parking lot, at 7455 W. Colfax Ave., on Aug. 23. They found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds, and both were taken to area hospitals, where they died from their injuries.

The victims were identified as brothers 18-year-old Damian Wikoff and 17-year-old Dillon Wikoff, according to the Lakewood Police Department.

The shooting does not appear to be random, police said.
