2 Rob Bank In Lakewood, FBI Seeks Suspects

Two men used a robbery demand note at a bank on Alameda Avenue, officials said.

LAKEWOOD, CO — Two suspects are wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Lakewood, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced Tuesday.

Two men walked into the Chase Bank at 5500 West Alameda Avenue around 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 and robbed the bank using a demand note, the FBI said. A weapon was not seen during the robbery.

The first suspect was described as a white man, around 6 feet tall, with a thin build, officials said. He was wearing a black beanie cap, reading glasses, a white mask, a black leather jacket, a light-colored button up shirt and light-colored pants.

The second suspect was also described as a white man, with "medium height and medium build," the FBI said. He was wearing a black beanie cap, a red bandana as a mask, a black jacket with a black shirt underneath, gloves, and dark colored pants.

"Please be on the lookout for anyone matching the suspects’ descriptions," an FBI alert read.

"Be aware of anyone similar who might have recently changed their spending habits or discussed coming into money suddenly."

The amount of money that was stolen was not disclosed.
