Odyssey Beerwerks raised about $2,300 Saturday through funds donated in the taproom and through a silent auction.
Funds have also been raised through a Facebook page dedicated to Porter's recovery.
"Everyone has been amazing, it's been a long road but rather than focus on the things we have lost and what might have been- we look forward to what we have gained," Porter's family posted on the page. "All the people that have come through for us, friends that have carried us when we couldn't, complete strangers that have just embraced our family. Thank you all so much."
