  1. Renter assistance programs strained as Colorado eviction cases in Colorado hit a pandemic high in December. Landlords across the state filed 3,237 cases in December, the highest monthly total since February 2020, before the start of the pandemic. (CPR)
  2. Man convicted for 2019 murder in Lakewood sentenced to 48 years. A Weld County judge sentenced Kenneth Hoschouer to the maximum during a sentencing hearing last week. A jury convicted him for murdering Christopher Grau on July 6, 2019. (Gazette)
  3. Louisville man arrested after threatening firefighters during Marshall Fire. Nearly 2,000 rounds of ammunition were found in the vehicle of man who allegedly threatened Louisville firefighters on the day of the Marshall fire. (FOX31)
  4. Former Boulder Fire Department battalion chief loses his home in Marshall Fire. Retired Boulder firefighter, Gilbert Espinoza, lost his home in Superior after wind-whipped flames tore through his neighborhood on Dec. 30. (7News)
  5. Airline passengers in Denver frustrated with long waits for their suitcases. Passengers arriving at Denver International Airport over the weekend had long waits to get their baggage from Southwest Airlines – due in part to a shortage of ground crew staff. (CBS4)
