- 2022 was the most deadly year for traffic fatalities in Colorado since 1981. The Colorado Department of Transportation has recorded 750 traffic-related deaths in Colorado in 2022. That's an increase of 78 deaths from 2021, when 672 people died on Colorado roads. State officials are working to implement a comprehensive plan to address the rising trend in traffic fatalities. - Pikes Peak Library District in Colorado Springs is testing their branches for meth contamination. Methamphetamine contamination is a serious health concern, as the drug can leave behind residue that can be harmful to those who come into contact with it. The Pikes Peak Library District decided to take a proactive approach, and is testing all 15 of their library locations for contamination. (KRDO)
