Holiday Lights Celebration In Lakewood
Join Santa at the Lakewood Heritage Center for lights, caroling, wagon rides and hot cocoa and cookies

LAKEWOOD, CO -- The City of Lakewood officially kicks off the holiday season Friday and Saturday Dec. 1-2 at the Lakewood Heritage Center. A free celebration will feature the mayor's tree-lighting ceremony in the gazebo, starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Christmas carols and brass music will be shared by the Green Mountain High School Choir, the bFlatiorns (acapella) and the Tarnished Brass Band.
Get your family photo taken for free with Santa starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Orchard Room of the Visitor Center. Hot cocoa and cookies will be available for purchase in the diner all night long.

Take a ride on a hay wagon pulled by a 1940 McCormick Farmall “H” tractor. Rides will be leaving from in front of the Visitor Center starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Children can make make holiday ornaments and watch seasonal films in the Country Schoolhouse. Then, join Great Work Montessori in the Calving Barn to make snowflakes.
