- Are fireworks bad for the environment? Turns out all those beautiful bangs in the sky aren't so good for the environment. A 2020 study revealed that some fireworks spread tiny particles of metal into the air, causing health concerns like cardiovascular issues and neurological problems in children, as well as neurological issues for wildlife. - InnovAge had been struggling long before Medicare stopped paying. The problems at Innovage were happening for more than a year before state and federal authorities stepped in. (Quick Telecast)
- CDOT's bus service cutting rates in half for the summer. The Colorado Department of Transportation is offering half-fare promotion for both Bustang and Pegasus bus service through Labor Day Weekend. The hope is that by of expanding low-cost travel, it will serve as viable transportation alternative to mountain towns along Interstate 70. (North Forty News)
- Satellite designed in Colorado headed toward the moon. The Capstone satellite will orbit around the earth's moon, where it will collect data for the next U.S. manned mission to the moon. (CO Sun)
- Pop up Monkey Pox vaccination clinics opening in Colorado. Colorado's state health department is expanding its pop-up monkeypox vaccine clinics this week in Denver, as part of the agency's effort to curb the spread of the disease. (CPR)
