- An indoor mask mandate has been reinstated for Jefferson County and two other Denver-area counties as COVID-19 cases continue to rise. The order, which requires everyone ages 3 and older to wear a mask in indoor public spaces, takes effect today, Wednesday, Nov. 24. Businesses and venues that implement a voluntary vaccine verification program, which assures full vaccination of all employees, staff, and customers, will be exempt from requiring masks. There are several other exemptions to the mask mandate, including those who are hearing impaired, law enforcement and other first responders, those sitting at restaurants and bars, and more.
