Jefferson County Exceeds Level 2 Threshold On Coronavirus Dial
The county will shift to Level 3 restrictions if case numbers don't decline, officials said.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Denver and Arapahoe counties shifted to tighter restrictions Wednesday, and Jefferson County will soon follow if coronavirus rates remain high, health officials said.
Between Oct. 12 and Oct. 26, 1,656 new cases were reported in the county, public health officials said. The county has surpassed the threshold for Level 2 of Colorado's COVID-19 Dial.
Jefferson County Public Health is working with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment on mitigation strategies, officials said.

"By following public health guidance, we have been able to curb COVID-19 spikes in our community before," Jefferson County public health officials said in a social media post.
"We made it through other surges during the pandemic, and we can do it again — please wear a mask, wash your hands, keep 6 ft. distance and avoid gatherings with people who do not live with you."

If Jeffco moves to Level 3, the following restrictions will be in place:
Adams and Denver counties have shifted to Level 3 on the state's COVID-19 Dial, and Arapahoe County has shifted to Level 2.
