- If you are a Democrat, you will receive a Democratic primary ballot.
- If you are a Republican, you will receive a Republican primary ballot.
- If you are a Libertarian, you will receive a Libertarian primary ballot.
- If you are unaffiliated, you will receive both a Democratic and a Republican ballot, but you may only return one of the two.
- Minor parties other than the Libertarian Party do not have a primary election, so voters registered with those parties are not eligible to participate in this election.
- 17-year-olds are eligible to vote – and will receive a ballot if they are pre-registered – as long as they will be 18 by the general election on Nov. 3, 2020.
- You can register to vote or check/update your voter registration at GoVoteColorado.
What:
- The top race on the ballot is the U.S. Senate seat.
- For the major parties, the U.S. Senate race is followed by candidates for U.S. house, the state board of education and/or CU regent (depending on your district), the state legislature, district attorney, and county commissioner.
- Sample ballots for the Republican, Democratic, and Libertarian primaries can be found at VoteJeffco.

- Saturday, May 16: Ballots were mailed to all military and overseas voters.
- Monday, June 1: Last day to change your party affiliation for this primary.
- Monday, June 8: We will mail ballots to all active, registered voters and open all drop boxes.
- Monday, June 22: We will open in-person vote centers.
- Tuesday, June 30: Election Day – we must receive your ballot by 7 p.m.
Where:
- Drop Boxes: The 24-hour drop boxes remain the most efficient and secure way to return your ballot, officials said. Because more than 75 percent of Jeffco voters use them, the county continues to use state dollars to add more (and many don’t even require you to get out of your car). Find the latest locations at VoteJeffco.
- Mail: Voters can also use the U.S. mail to return their ballots. PPostmarks do not count, so if you choose to mail your ballot, officials recommend doing so at least eight days before Election Day.
- Vote Centers: Fewer than 2 percent of Jeffco voters will need to vote in-person. In light of COVID-19, elections officials are taking special precautions with in-person vote centers and are still finalizing sites that will officer adequate social distancing. Jefferson County will post locations at VoteJeffco when they’re ready, officials said. In the meantime, "please help us reduce that 2% to 0% by encouraging all citizens to register to vote or update their registration right now" at GoVoteColorado to receive a ballot in the mail, officials said.
