  1. Lakewood agent that killed gunman and ended the shooting rampage on Tuesday, identified. Lakewood Police Agent, Ashley Ferris, remains in the hospital after the gunman shot her moments before she fatally shot him. Putting an end to the killing spree that took five lives and spanned two cities. Agent Ferris has been hailed as a hero for her actions. (FOX31)
  2. Authorities identify the fourth and fifth victims in shooting rampage. The final two victims of the rampage that killed five were named today. Michael Swinyard, 67 and Alyssa Gunn, 35. (CO Sun)
  3. Gunman was fulfilling plan outlined in self-published novels. The shooter authored a sprawling trilogy of self-published novels under the pen name Roman McClay. A character named Lyndon MacLeod, murders dozens of people, including ones that share names with his future victims. (Denverite)
  4. Coloradans are peeing where they shouldn't. Human urine is damaging Colorado's high country lakes. Researchers have discovered where some of the yuck that's filling the lakes in Rocky Mountain National Park is coming from. (CO Sun)

  • The City of Lakewood will be providing a Resource Center at 7349 W. Alaska Dr. in Lakewood. In response to the tragic events impacting our community, the center will be open Thursday 12/30 9am-7pm and Friday 12/31 8am-12pm. Trauma resources and mental health therapists will be available to the public. Nobody will be turned away. This resource center is for anyone in our community (Lakewood, Denver or otherwise) who has been affected by the senseless tragedy this week. (FOX 31)
