LAKEWOOD, CO — Lakewood is among the top 10 places to retire in the nation, according to a new report.

Money looked at cities with populations of more than 50,000, and analyzed variables such as economic health, the housing market, cost of living, crime rate, quality of life, amenities and mental and physical factors.

Lakewood was ranked No. 6. The report noted that housing prices in Lakewood are higher than some of the report's other top cities, but Lakewood scored top points for being so close to festivals, zoos, boat rentals and of course, the great outdoors.
