Read the latest edition the Lakewood Daily! Here's your go-to for everything going on in Lakewood.

Rise and shine, Lakewood! Here's everything you need, and then some things you probably don't need!

First, today's weather: Partly cloudy throughout the day. High: 83, low: 61.

Here are the top stories today in Lakewood:

  1. Failure as a path to success. A Green Mountain High School math teacher reinvents how algebra is taught. The AMPED on Algebra program is designed for kids that don't necessarily learn with traditional methods, and it's working! (CBS Denver)
  2. Lakewood Brewery Collective Celebration. In celebration of surviving the pandemic, six Lakewood, CO breweries have joined forces and are offering up the Lakewood Flight – two beers from each brewery that will be on-tap at 6 & 40 Brewery. Cheers to that! (Patch)
  3. Jefferson County Library: Citizens were asked to shape vision for a new library in Jefferson County. With booming demand for library services, the new library's top priority will be to provide equitable access to information and opportunities to all. (Patch)
  4. Metro Denver (yes, this includes Lakewood) is included on the list of Cities Where Most People Can't Afford Their Homes. In many instances, the cities on this list are ones that have had demand out-strip supply, as rapid growth has caused a speedy rise in rent prices. (24/7)
  5. Total mess at DIA on Friday. Yup, air travel is no fun when the trains aren't running. Unofficial reports indicate that security lines were "a mile long." A power outage created yet another massive a boondoggle at the Denver airport yesterday. (CBS4)
