Lakewood Election 2017 Results: Johnson & Harrison Lead

UPDATED: Lakewood council members Ramey Johnson and Karen Harrison with Jacob LaBure, Mike Bieda and David Skilling appear to be ahead.

LAKEWOOD, CO -- UPDATED Incumbents Ramey Johnson and Karen Denise Harrison appear to have been re-elected to the Lakewood City Council, along with newcomers Jacob Bruce LaBure, Michael L. Bieda and David Skilling, according to updated unofficial vote tallies released by the Jefferson Co. Clerk's office Nov. 8.

In Ward 1, incumbent Johnson drew 52 percent of the vote, at 3,592, while her challenger, Kyra de Gruy, was behind with 3,317, or 48 percent of the vote, the updated tallies showed.

In the open race for Ward 2, Jacob LaBure appeared to have a healthy lead of 58.84 percent of the votes (2,230) over Charles K. Davis, who garnered 41.16 percent of the votes for a total of 1,560.

In the open Ward 3 race, Mike Bieda appeared to have pulled in 52. 6 percent of the votes, with 3,219 total. Michael Gifford got 47.40 percent of the votes with 2,901 total.

In a three-way race for an open seat in Ward 4, David Skilling got 52.79 percent of the votes, with 4,449, while rivals Bill Furman and LaDawn Sperling got 25.1 percent and 21.11 percent, respectively.

Incumbent Karen Harrison appears to have beaten challenger Nancy Pallozzi with 53.58 percent, or 3,310 votes to Pallozzi's 2,868 (46.42 percent).
