Lakewood Escort Interview Attack: Police Seek More Victims

LAKEWOOD, CO -- A 47-year-old man is in Jefferson County jail after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman, 22, to whom he pretended to offer an escort service job to via Craigslist, Lakewood Police said. Anthony Julio Rios allegedly asked the woman to pose in lingerie, then allegedly sexually attacked and fondled her, police said.

Police believe other women could have also been potentially abused by Rios.

“As a result of the ongoing investigation, detectives feel that Rios could possibly have met additional females under the same circumstances,” Lakewood police Spokesman Steve Davis told the Denver Post.

The woman answering the Craigslist ad allegedly met Rios at a local coffee shop and then went with him to his home for a photo shoot, Davis told the Post. "Rios allegedly asked the woman to pose in lingerie, saying the photographs would be used in advertisements," the Post story said. The victim told police she was fondled and sexually assaulted at Rios's home.
