Lakewood Party On The Plaza: Schedule, Activities

LAKEWOOD, CO — Why have only one birthday party, when you could have many? The City of Lakewood is hosting another public celebration on Friday, Aug. 23 at Civic Center Plaza, 470 S. Allison Parkway. People of all ages are invited to Party on the Plaza from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Colorado band The Modniks will perform '60s hits at the birthday bash, which will feature balloon animals, lawn games, a magician and face painting.

Talented dogs will perform impressive tricks at The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and partygoers will be offered birthday cake. Food truck fare will include sliders and tacos from Chibby Wibbitz, macaroni and cheese options from Mac 'N Noodles and dessert by Scrumptious Ice Creamer. Kiwanis Club of Alameda West Foundation will host a beer tent serving Colorado beer and wine.

Free parking is available in a covered garage and a street surface lot.
