LAKEWOOD, CO — A mapping tool has been launched in Lakewood to help authorities identify neighborhoods with the highest number of illegal fireworks reports. Fines for illegal fireworks in Lakewood can reach up to $2,650.

The mapping tool has been posted on the Lakewood Together website. Residents can drop a pin anonymously to help with education and enforcement efforts. The pin doesn't dispatch an officer to the location, officials said.

To report fireworks in Lakewood, call the police non-emergency number at 303-980-7300. Do not call 911, police said.
