Lakewood Sustainability Awards Seek Nominations

From The City of Lakewood: It’s time to celebrate community members who are leading Lakewood toward a green future. Submit your nomination for Lakewood’s annual Sustainability Awards to help us celebrate leadership through an awards ceremony, City Council recognition, a personalized award and sharing the winners’ stories throughout the community.

If you know a neighbor, youth, local business or group that deserves to join Lakewood’s sustainability hall of fame, please nominate them for the 11th annual awards.

Awards are given in the categories of community sustainability, youth leadership, Lakewood employees and, for the first time, a category specifically for the business community. Past awards put a spotlight on individuals and groups for such projects as school eco-fairs, bicycle advocacy, innovative and energy-efficient building developments, youth-led water conservation efforts, neighborhood garden programs and many more.
