Lost Stuffed Bunny Seeks Its Human + Colorado Air Quality Is Bad
Lakewood Daily brings you the news delivered in your email box every morning. Hello Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday, neighbors! Today's Lakewood Daily includes several stories about Metro Denver's poor air quality. We're fortunate to be here in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, but after a summer of smoggy air, it's probably time to get to the bottom of why our air quality is so awful, and it's not entirely because of forest fires in far away places.
Tuesday's weather: Mostly sunny and very warm. High: 92, low: 62.
Here are the top stories today in Lakewood:
- Even Casa Bonita had some of it's $1.7m Paycheck Protection (PPP) loans forgiven before going bankrupt. The federal COVID-19 loan program provided a much needed lifeline to many businesses here in Colorado – to the tune of $15.1 billion. (Colorado Sun)
- Pollution reduction rule goes up in smoke. Colorado conservatives and business interests, including the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, doomed this smog reduction plan, saying the suggested program was "too complicated." (Colorado News)
- Lost human: Please help reunite this well-loved stuffed bunny with its owner! This cute stuffy was found on Saturday, Aug. 21 near the intersection of Wadsworth and Stanford. Do you know where my owner is? (Facebook)
