Man Arrested In Connection With Murder At Lakewood Store

LAKEWOOD, CO — A man is accused of shooting another man to death outside a convenience store in Lakewood, according to the First Judicial District Attorney. Jesus Arambule Terrones, 28, was shot and killed Nov. 3 in the 1100 block of S. Sheridan, authorities said.

Israel Becerril-Rodriguez, 27, was arrested in Nevada and extradited back to Colorado. He has been charged with first degree murder and two violent crime counts, the DA's office said.

Lakewood police were called to the convenience store, at 1107 S. Sheridan Blvd, around 11:50 p.m. Nov. 3. When they arrived, officers found Terrones dead from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Witnesses said that Becerril-Rodriguez was involved with Terrones' ex-wife, according to an arrest affidavit.

An arrest warrant was issued for Becerril-Rodriguez on Nov. 4, and charges were filed the next day. He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 6.
