Man Dead After Crashing Stolen Truck Into Golf Course Lake

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO—A man is dead after crashing a stolen pickup truck into a golf course lake Wednesday night, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

According to The Denver Channel, around 11 p.m., the driver fled from law enforcement in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites near C-470 and W. Ken Caryl Avenue in Jefferson County. He eventually made his way to Meadows Golf Course along South Simms Street and South Ward Street where he crashed into the lake.

The truck was found just after 12:30 a.m. in a water hazard on the course, CBS 4 Denver reported. First responders removed the truck and the man's body from the water.
