Man Wanted In Connection With Lakewood Motel Murder Arrested
Asha Adolphus Thompson, 32, faces a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Brittany Guern.

LAKEWOOD, CO — A man who was wanted in connection with a murder in Lakewood has been arrested, police said.
Asha Adolphus Thompson, 32, was arrested Tuesday morning, the Lakewood Police Department said.
The victim, who has been identified as 32-year-old Brittany Guern, was shot Friday night at the Blue Sky Motel in Lakewood, police said. Officers were called to the motel, at 6205 W. Colfax Ave., just after 9:30 p.m.

Upon their arrival, the officers found Guern suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Witnesses said they saw three men and a woman running away from the motel in different directions.
Thompson was one of the suspects and was seen with a gun in his hand, police said.
Thompson is being held at the Jefferson County Jail. He faces a charge of first degree murder.
