  1. New school year, new school building: Kendrick Lakes Elementary students returned from summer vacation to a new school building. Located at the same Hoyt Street address in Lakewood, both students and faculty are said to be "thrilled" about the amenities included in new building. (Jeffco Transcript)
  2. Jefferson County Public Health released a statement on Wednesday in support of the Colorado State Board of Health's requirement for all health care workers to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 2021. (JCPH)
  3. Should you buy or rent? The Denver Post is reporting that monthly rent in Metro Denver is now less costly than buying a starter home. With steep price increases in housing prices over the past few months, it looks like renting is now cheaper. (Denver Post)
  4. Fastest Growing Cities in America: Metro Denver (which includes Lakewood) is once again on another national list for growth. Additional Colorado cities on this list include Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. (24/7 Wall St.)
