  1. Mobile home destroyed by fire in Lakewood was accidental. West Metro Fire put out a fire that destroyed a mobile home near West 16th Avenue and Depew Street on Monday. The fire is believed to have been started by an oxygen concentrator that was plugged into an extension cord. (CBS)
  2. Getting more kids on the slopes is a win-win-win. Christy Sports has partnered with Loveland Ski Area and Monarch Mountain to provide discounted season passes for kids as a way reduce the costs of winter sports for families and get more kids outdoors. (EIN News)
  3. Timed entry ends at Rocky Mountain National Park for the season. After Oct. 11, entry permits will no longer berequired to enter the park. It's possible that longer lines and congestion may exist, be prepared for longer than normal lines, especially on weekends. (KDVR)
  4. State of Colorado Outdoor Recreation Grant recipients announced. The Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office announced 10 recipients as part of the first round of Outdoor Recreation grants. More than $3.8 million will be distributed this year, and the grants are designed to promote strategic economic development across the state. (Valley Voice)
  5. When with the snow flakes fly? Meteorologists take a stab at predicting when metro Denver will see it's first snow storm, but in Colorado, it's really any one's guess. (FOX31)
