Pedestrian Teen Struck By Auto In Lakewood
BREAKING: A 13-year-old was hit by a car in Lakewood and taken to a hospital with serious injuries Tuesday morning.

LAKEWOOD, CO -- The Lakewood police corrected the age of a pedestrian who was struck by a car in Lakewood early Tuesday morning. The teen was 16 years old, police said. He was walking with his 15-year-old brother. The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. near 26th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard. Police diverted traffic from the area during the morning rush hour. The teen was taken to St. Anthony hospital and was reported to be in critical condition, police said.
"Multiple witnesses said the [brothers were] crossing Wadsworth against a red light," an afternoon update from the police said. "The driver remained on scene and is cooperating and there are no indications that alcohol or drugs are involved."
