Here are the top stories in Lakewood today:

  1. Did a pothole cause a flat tire or damage to your car? According to 7News: "A damage claim has legal standing once it has been filed in writing, within 182 days of the loss, at the Attorney General's Office, as required by statute. Upon receiving claim information, the State Office of Risk Management sets up a claim file and assigns claims." (7News)
  2. Will you take a water conservation pledge? If every Coloradan signed on with the Water 22 pledge, Colorado could save 22 gallons of water per day per person. (9News)
  3. Rain, rain please stay! Despite the low amount of spring rainfall, the storm that's parked over Denver metro through Wednesday is greening things up. (FOX31)
  4. State money going toward construction of 16,000 homes over 10 years. Gov. Jared Polis has signed legislation that will supply $150M of Colorado's general fund money to housing that will be built over the next ten years. At the same time, experts say the need for housing in Colorado over the next few years is 325,000 units. (CPR)
  5. Shop Lakewood Farmers Market. Beginning June 11, through Sept 24 at the Mile High Church, at 9077 West Alameda Avenue. Each Saturday morning, you'll be able to purchase locally-grown produce, coffee, honey, handcrafted and baked goods, plants and more. (Patch)
