  1. Migrant shelter expanded as migrant influx continues. Denver has issued an emergency declaration as the number of migrants coming to Denver continues to grow. 247 more migrants have arrived in the city, and Denver says there are already 411 people sheltered by the city and its local partners.   2. Drivers sought in deadly hit-and-run that killed bicyclist. Police are searching for the drivers of two vehicles that may have been involved in a deadly hit-and-run last Friday. The crash occurred near West 38th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. Police said they have video of two vehicles that were possibly involved, one is a SUV, and the other is a green Subaru. (FOX31)
  3. RTD is terminating both C and F light rail lines. The Regional Transportation District announced that it will discontinue the C and F light rail lines beginning on Sunday, Jan. 8. RTD is in the process of eliminating less used parts of their system, eliminating both bus and light rail routes in hopes of making RTD more efficient. (9News)

  5. Buildings designed to be warmed from sewage as renewable energy concept is put into action. An innovation that is being used at the National Western Center and Colorado State University Spur campus uses effluent heat to clean water pipes for a low-carbon, renewable flow. The system uses heats the facilities on the National Western Center's campus and is considered to be the the largest sewage heat recovery system in North America. (CO Sun)
