State Primary In Jefferson County: Deadlines, Vote Breakdown
Here's the latest breakdown of returned votes and other important elections updates.

LAKEWOOD, CO — Thousands of Jefferson County residents have already turned in their ballots for the state primary June 30.
As of Wednesday, 49,750 ballots have been returned in the county, according to the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder's office.
- 15,842 from Republicans
- 18,077 from Democrats
- 224 from Libertarians
- 15,607 from unaffiliated voters
Monday is the last day to register to vote or update your voter registration and receive a ballot in the mail. It is also the last day to return your ballot by mail.

In-person vote centers will open Monday, and all eligible voters can register and vote up until 7 p.m. June 30; however, voters are "strongly encouraged" to update their information at VoteJeffco so they don't have to come in at all.

Elections officials in Jefferson County have issued the following important information for voters:
- If you are a Democrat, you will receive a Democratic primary ballot.
- If you are a Republican, you will receive a Republican primary ballot.
- If you are a Libertarian, you will receive a Libertarian primary ballot.
- If you are unaffiliated, you will receive both a Democratic and a Republican ballot, but you may only return one of the two.
- Minor parties other than the Libertarian Party do not have a primary election, so voters registered with those parties are not eligible to participate in this election.
- 17-year-olds are eligible to vote – and will receive a ballot if they are pre-registered – as long as they will be 18 by the general election on Nov. 3, 2020.

Which seats are up for election?
- The top race on the ballot is the U.S. Senate seat.
- For the major parties, the U.S. Senate race is followed by candidates for U.S. house, the state board of education and/or CU regent (depending on your district), the state legislature, district attorney, and county commissioner.
