Super Tuesday In Jefferson County: Breakdown Of Ballots Returned

More than 160,000 ballots have been returned so far in Jefferson County for the presidential primary. Here's a breakdown by party.

More than one million Coloradans had already returned their ballots to county clerks before Super Tuesday, and voter turnout in Jefferson County has been very high, according to the county's clerk and recorder.

As of Monday, Jefferson County voters had returned 163,105 ballots:

  • 50,325 from Republicans
  • 57,310 from Democrats
  • 55,470 from Unaffiliated voters.

As of Tuesday morning, 1,311,477 ballots have been returned in Colorado. All ballots must be received by 7 p.m., and postmarks will not count.

Democratic turnout has surpassed Republican turnout in our state, with around 34 percent of ballots returned coming from Democratic voters, 34 percent from Republican voters and 31 percent from Unaffiliated voters.
