  1. Lakewood City Council approves changes to regional drug task force IGA. Changes in the Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) were approved by city council after the City of Arvada withdrew from the West Metro Drug Task Force. The WMDTF will now be overseen by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, which had been managed by the Lakewood Police Department. (Arvada Press) This link may require a subscription
  2. Most dangerous avalanche conditions of the season this week. According to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, the winter storm that's moved into the state could drop a foot or more west of the Continental Divide – creating potential for dangerous avalanche conditions. (7News)
  3. Fentanyl is the cornerstone of most drug overdoses in metro Denver. The district attorney for the 17th Judicial District suggests that no drug should be considered safe, as fentanyl-laced street drugs continue to cause a wave of overdoses across the Denver metro area. (FOX31)
  4. Safeway and Albertson's union members set to vote on new deal. The union says the new contract will provide the grocery workers at Safeway with the same kinds of benefits that King Soopers agreed to last month after striking. (CBS4)
  5. Aurora City Council set to vote on camping-ban proposal. Next Monday, City Council will vote on the second version of a camping ban that's been proposed by Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman. (Westword)
