2 Killed In Semi Crash On C-470 In Jefferson County
Two people were killed in a fiery crash on C470 near West Ken Caryl Avenue, authorities said.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — A fiery crash closed down both directions of C-470 between Ken Caryl and Bowles avenues Thursday. Multiple vehicles were involved in the deadly crash, Colorado State Patrol said. At least two people were killed.
The eastbound semi truck crossed the median and crashed into multiple vehicles at about 11 a.m., causing an explosion, CSP said.
Heavy black smoke could be seen billowing from the explosion and a grass fire had to be extinguished.

It's unknown how many vehicles were involved in the crash, or how many were injured. An investigation into the cause of the deadly crash was underway.
