Attention residents of unincorporated Arapahoe County: Take our survey on "Mother-in-Law" units to help inform potential changes to the Land Development Code.

Arapahoe County wants your feedback on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), also known as “Mother-in-Law Dwellings. In recent years, the County has had several citizen requests to update the code to:
- Allow ADUs that are attached, detached or within an existing dwelling
- Expand zoning designations outside agriculture or rural residential
- Allow properties smaller than 1.61 acres eligible for ADUs
- Allow for non-family living, which could include caretakers, nannies or renters
