Black Bear Spotted In Littleton Released In South Park
A young black bear has been taken back into the wild after he was seen wandering around Littleton.

LITTLETON, CO — A young bear who was spotted roaming around Littleton has been taken safely back into the mountains, Colorado Parks and Wildlife said. The 50-pound bear was taken to South Park after sightings were reported in the Columbine Valley and Harlow Park.
Before the bear was found, wildlife officers warned the public to be vigilant.
"It may look cute, but be advised to keep your distance from the bear," CPW tweeted.

Wildlife officers monitored the area and were able to relocate him back into the mountains.
Bears are out of hibernation, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife has issued the following tips to residents:

- always keep your barbecues clean
- take down any bird feeders
- keep garages closed
- only put out trash on the morning of pickup
Any sightings should be reported to CPW at 303-291-7227, or to police.
