Clerk Shot During Robbery At Centennial Gas Station

Deputies are searching for a suspect after a clerk was shot on Thanksgiving Day.

CENTENNIAL, CO — Investigators are searching for a man who's wanted in connection with a shooting at a gas station Thursday in Centennial.

Deputies were called around 7 p.m. to a gas station in the 8200 block of South Quebec Street.

After he asked the clerk for cigarettes, the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded cash, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office. The clerk handed over an unknown amount of money to the suspect, who then shot the clerk in the stomach, investigators said.

The clerk was taken to a hospital after deputies administered first aid. As of Friday, his condition was not known.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s. He was wearing a gray hoodie, a black and white jacket, gray pants and tan shoes, officials said.

It's unknown whether the suspect took off in a vehicle or on foot after the shooting.
