Colorado 2020 Census Response Rates By County

As of Thursday, Douglas County had the highest response rate for the 2020 Census in Colorado, and Jefferson County was close behind. Around 55.2 percent of Colorado households have responded, census officials confirmed.

The data that's collected will determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the distribution of more than $675 billion in federal funds to states and communities for the next decade.

Self-response rates — top 15 Colorado counties:

1. Douglas County, 67.4 percent
2. Jefferson County, 66.6 percent
3. Broomfield County, 63.7 percent
4. Boulder County, 63.3 percent
5. Arapahoe County, 61.8 percent
6. El Paso County, 60.4 percent
7. Phillips County, 60.3 percent
8. Elbert County, 59.5 percent
9. Mesa County, 58.8 percent
10. Larimer County, 57.2 percent
11. Adams County, 57 percent
12. Yuma County, 56.1 percent
13. Denver County, 55.4 percent
14. Logan County, 55.4 percent
15. Weld County, 54.2 percent

Colorado residents can respond online, by phone, or by mail - all without having to meet a census taker, officials said.
