Early Morning Apartment Fire Sends 1 To Hospital in Arapahoe Co.
About 40 firefighters were on hand to put out a fire in an apartment building in the 8800 block of Florida Monday morning.
ARAPAHOE COUNTY, CO -- One person was hospitalized with smoke inhalation injuries after an early morning apartment fire in the 8800 block of Florida Avenue, South Metro Fire and Rescue reported Monday.
Firefighters evacuated the apartment building, where the fire was burning in a second-floor apartment, the fire department tweeted around 5 a.m. About 40 firefighters were on the scene. Florida Avenue was blocked off to traffic during Monday's morning rush hour.
