Fire Destroys Gun Range And Store In Englewood
The Shootist Gun Range burned down early Thursday morning.
ENGLEWOOD, CO — A fire destroyed a gun range and store in Englewood Thursday morning. Around 50 people received emergency calls to evacuate the area.
The fire broke out at The Shootist Gun Range in the 2900 block of South Galapago Street, fire officials said. A person who was walking by called 911 just before 4 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, the building was fully engulfed in flames.

Denver fire crews worked with Englewood firefighters to put the fire out and ensure there were no remaining hot spots.
Police helped to evacuate nearby homes and businesses. No injuries were reported.

There were reports of ammunition exploding inside the building, according to ABC 7. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
