Lockdown Lifted At Global Leadership Academy

The Adams County academy was placed under lockdown after deputies received a Safe2Tell tip, authorities said.

ADAMS COUNTY, CO — The Global Leadership Academy in Adams County was placed on lockdown Wednesday after authorities received a Safe2Tell tip, the Adam's County Sheriff's Office said. The lockdown was lifted just before 3 p.m.

The anonymous tipster said they saw a student with a gun who was going to "shoot up the school," according to a report by Fox 31 Denver.

Broadway was closed between Greenwood and El Paso while deputies investigated.

Big Picture College and Career Academy and an administration building were placed on lockdown, authorities said. Global Primary Academy and Global Intermediate Academy were on lockout.

The Adam's County Sheriff's Office said all buildings in the area are now safe for students and faculty.
