Have Your Say About Littleton's Future With Online Survey

LITTLETON, CO – The City of Littleton is asking residents for input into the future of the city via a short online survey meant to identify strengths and challenges of the city now and in the future.

The Envision Littleton survey is part of the public input required for the city's comprehensive planning project, that will influence the city's planned transportation master plan as well as overhauls of the city's zoning and land-use codes. Many, if not all, federal grant programs require local municipalities to create comprehensive plans as part of their eligibility for grant funds. In this instance, a 2011 comprehensive plan process was required to take part in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant program, as managed by the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG).

The city has contracted with Houston-based Kendig Keast Collaborative (KCC) to organize the citizen input sessions, including the survey.

The survey, for people identifying themselves as residents, includes the following questions:

• What brought you to Littleton?
• When you came to Littleton ?
• Are you a "Littleton native."
• The survey also asks for "up to three words that describe what you value most about living in Littleton and wish to see maintained in the future."
• Residents are also asked to name "Up to three concerns about Littleton's future."
• The survey asks for additional comments.
• The survey asks residents to give their street address.

The city will begin to develop the comprehensive plan and master transportation plan in early 2019, according to a timeline presented by KKC.
