Jeffco Tests CodeRed Emergency Notification System
Jeffco residents: If you get an emergency call this Wednesday, don't worry, it's only a test.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — The Jefferson County Emergency Communications Authority will test the CodeRED emergency notification system this Wednesday. All registered landlines, cellphones and emails will receive test alerts, officials said.
The test will begin at 9 a.m., and is expected to last several hours.
The CodeRED system is used by emergency service agencies in Jefferson County to help disseminate important information about severe weather and critical incidents.
