Littleton Police Department Announces Ring Partnership
Here's what the partnership will mean for Littleton residents with Ring security cameras.

LITTLETON, CO — The Littleton Police Department has announced a partnership with Ring, a home security and surveillance company. The partnership will help solve crimes, police said.
The police department will use Ring's Neighbors App, which allows residents to post crime and security information within a five-mile radius of their home address. Some posts include video footage captured on Ring cameras, but those who don't have video surveillance systems are also able to post on the app.
Littleton police will use the Neighbors App to communicate with residents, view posts and share crime and safety information. Police will use the app's video request tool, which will send a request to people who own a camera in the area.

"When making the request, LPD will reference a relevant case, and only request videos within a limited time and area. People can choose to aid in the request or choose to take no action," police said in a public notice. "LPD will not be able to see specific addresses and will not have access to cameras."
