Festivities were held at the Littleton Post Office Saturday to celebrate two important historic designations.

LITTLETON, CO — Littleton leaders, organizations and community members are celebrating the designation of the Littleton Post office on two historic registers. The post office, at 5753 S. Prince St, was built eight decades ago.
An event was held Saturday to celebrate the designation of the Littleton Post Office on the National Register of Historic Places and the Colorado State Register of Historic Properties. The celebration included the dedication of the National Register plaque on the building, speakers and behind-the-scene tours of the postal operations.
"The designation of the building to the National Register contributes significantly to the character of Downtown Littleton’s historic district," the City of Littleton said in a statement. "This multi-year project began in 2016 with listing finally occurring in April of 2019."
