Street In Littleton Named One Of Coolest In Colorado

LITTLETON, CO — Littleton's West Main Street is one of the coolest places to hang out in Colorado, according to a recent AAA report. The street was named among six other streets in the state that are unique to their hometown.

The coolest streets were found across Colorado, and were specifically chosen for summer strolling. Some were known more for their history, others for their cool vibes and some for their quaint atmosphere.

Not to brag, but Kathryn Mayer, the report's author, called Littleton's West Main Street "probably her favorite main street in all of Colorado."

Mayer said the street offers the "best of both worlds" — a hip urban feel and small-town vibes.

"The former is due to the presence of ViewHouse, Tavern, and Smokin Fins restaurants, which give Main Street a hip feel along with good eats," she wrote. "My favorite part about Main Street, though, are the local businesses that bring the neighborhood to life and make it feel extra special and like you have been transported back in time: art galleries, antique shops, boutiques, and independently owned restaurants housed in red-brick buildings from the turn of the century."

The report called the Town Hall Arts Center the street's "true gem," with its massive theater and great productions.

The AAA report also named streets in Durango, Steamboat Springs, Salida, Fort Collins, Leadville and Parker on the list.
