Lost Child Returned To Family: JeffCo Sheriff
A child found wandering early this morning in Ken Caryl was returned to his family Tuesday, the Jeffco Sheriff's Office said.

LITTLETON, CO – A young boy has been returned to his family after being lost, the JeffCo Sheriff's Office said. The child went missing from the 8100 block of West Laurel Drive.
The child, around 5 years old, was seen by a motorist around 2:45 a.m., walking barefoot, clad in pajamas on West Ken Caryl Avenue near South Kendall Boulevard.
The sheriff's office said the child was recognized by both a classmate and teacher on local news and social media. Officers got in touch with a family member who had been searching the neighborhood around a mile away from where the child was found.

The agency did not identify the child's parents or explain the circumstances under which he wandered away from home. The sheriff's office said they are conducting an ongoing investigation, but will not be filing criminal charges.
